Waypoint Trading Co. operates software, trading-education, market-analysis, AI-assisted platform features, and member-support services under the Waypoint brand. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Waypoint.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Waypoint, we may collect information you voluntarily provide and information generated through use of the platform, including:

• Account and profile information (name/display name, email)
• Phone / mobile number when provided
• Authentication information
• Application preferences and saved layouts
• Pete conversations/interactions where stored
• Trading journal data and related notes
• Broker/account connection metadata (not raw secrets intentionally exposed to browsers)
• Device/browser information, IP address, and technical logs
• Cookies / session information
• Payment/subscription information when applicable
• Support communications
• SMS consent status, timestamps, and disclosure versions

3. How Information Is Used

We use information to:

• Operate Waypoint and authenticate members
• Deliver Pete functionality and maintain account state
• Provide communications and SMS notifications where consented
• Provide support and respond to requests
• Perform fraud/security monitoring and troubleshooting
• Improve service quality and reliability
• Meet legal and compliance obligations

4. Protection of Secrets

Passwords, API secrets, broker credentials, Twilio credentials, OpenAI credentials, session signing secrets, and similar secrets are protected server-side and are not intentionally exposed in client-side browser bundles.

5. MOBILE INFORMATION AND SMS CONSENT

This section applies specifically to mobile telephone numbers and SMS opt-in / consent information collected by Waypoint Trading Co. for the Waypoint / Pete Messaging program.

Mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent, will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS information may be processed by service providers (including messaging providers) only as necessary to operate the messaging service, comply with law, prevent fraud/abuse, or deliver communications the member requested.

SMS consent is voluntary and is collected through a separate, unchecked-by-default opt-in checkbox on https://waypointtradingco.org/signup. SMS consent is separate from acceptance of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Consent is not inferred merely because a phone number was entered. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing Waypoint products or services and is not required to create a Waypoint account.

If you opt in, Waypoint may send SMS messages related to Pete responses you initiate, account/service notifications, trading alerts you enable, order/fill notifications where enabled, and related Waypoint service messages.

Message frequency varies.

Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. You may also manage or withdraw SMS consent in Profile → Communications / Notifications. See SMS Messaging Terms and SMS Consent & Opt-In Process.

6. Service Providers

Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate Waypoint (for example communications, cloud infrastructure, authentication, payment, or technology providers), subject to applicable agreements. Waypoint does not sell personal information.

7. Retention

We retain information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, legal compliance, security, and legitimate business needs.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Choices

• Update account information in your profile
• Withdraw SMS consent (STOP or account settings)
• Request account deletion subject to legal/recordkeeping requirements
• Contact Waypoint regarding privacy requests

10. Children

Waypoint is intended for users who are at least CONFIGURE_ME years of age. Waypoint does not knowingly collect personal information from children for membership services.

11. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Last Updated date above will be revised when material changes are published.
